Marigold

We use a variety known as Tangerine Gem that features beautiful, orange blooms and a heady, citrus fragrance. Both the fern-like leaves and flowers can be harvested as eye-catching and flavorful garnishes.

Thinning technique

After you've transplanted your seedlings to the grow shelf. Each pod should be thinned to 1 seedling. To do this pull out the excess seedlings using a pair of tweezers or your fingers gently.

Harvesting technique

Make a fist at base of plant and cut foliage 1 inch above where your fist ends. Cut flowers individually at their stem as they open to encourage additional blooms.
